It has come to my attention that FINRA is considering new restrictions on the ability of the public to invest in leveraged and inverse funds. I'm writing to express my opposition to restrictions which would significantly limit the public's access to and ability to use these important investment tools. I have responsibly used leveraged and inverse funds for > 5 years. I know exactly what they are and how they function. I strongly resist having to go through any special process, test, special limitations or any restrictions on my ability to purchase, sell short or otherwise trade these securities.

This level of control is unnecessary, and instead just represents government overreach into what is otherwise free market capitalism. If investors feel that these funds are too risky or illegitimate, they will not and should not invest in them. It is unnecessary for the government to be involved in restricting the availability of such funds.
