I would be opposed to banning any products. Information is readily available for anyone who seeks it. People have to take responsibility for their own decisions. You can't regulate it.
I highly recommend a freer ability for retail investors to trade in today's and tomorrow's markets. I have traded for over 50 years. While gamification has appeared to be the basis for younger traders, and highly leveraged instruments can accelerate losses, it is critical they experience a severe loss before they will modify their choices to a less risky form of trading. A serious loss
I have been using leveraged etfs for many years and that has helped me generate more wealth which I share with family and others in need. Such funds give me the only vehicle in my IRA to invest on marginand this gives me the tools that others can use via margin accounts. Please do not take this tool away
It is an investors right to freely access the entirety of the public securities markets without arbitrary restrictions.
I'm shocked to hear that leveraged products are at risk of being shut down or closed to the public. I'm a user of leveraged products and have done extensive research on my own. I already have to agree to a "Most Aggressive" statement from my broker(s) so I do not agree that more regulation is needed at this time. Warning labels are ok, education is important,
I want to invest in what I want and make my own decision. Leveraged funds, inverse funds, etc. I don't need you to "protect" me be taking my options off the table. I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test or anything else. I use these funds to hedge risks or double down on high-conviction shorter term trades. You will hurt me and
Why would you want to take away another part of free enterprise enjoyed by all, big and small. Our democracy is hanging by a thread. We don't learn. History repeats itself, over and over. Just another socialist control. Don't you love the joy of investing; making your own dreams come true?
I oppose any government bill that will prevent the common folk from choosing to invest in certain securities, yet not banning wall st from banning those securities. The government forcing me to invest one way is an infringement on my rights
I as an individual investor should not have someone telling me how to invest my money. Public investments should be available to everyone. If I want to have someone manage my investments I already have that option as do most investors.
Dear regulator,
I don't believe in putting restrictions on the ability to purchase leveraged investments instruments or asking investors to pre-qualify for these types of investments is fair to the average investors. We understand risk and the overall markets and in view of my investment objectives these investment products are necessary to my strategy.
