I need to be the one who decides which public investments are right for me and my family. I do not want a government regulator deciding or restricting my ability to choose my investments.
The investor should have freedom to purchase whatever the product he want.
I'm both a financial advisor and an investor, i find the the leveraged etf's are necessary to mitigating long term risk. by themselves they are a problem. but when used corrrectly they help lower volatility of the overall market, and individual investor portfolios, especially since there is no other way to easily hedge the down side in retirement accounts.
i am opposed to investor restrictions on what i can do.
I would like to trade conta ETF and Laveraged ETFs.

Prior to retirement I was in the securities industry for over 40 years, a substantial period was spent as a partner of a major securities firm as VP in charge of derivatives. I dealt with people and firms with an interest and need to hedge their risk - my own portfolio is hedged appropriately with the instruments you mention. The proposals that you consider are needless and counter productive.
Shame on you. You should regulate Tesla and other big funds rather than us.

As an investor I highly value the ability to choose my own financial products and equal access to complex products is very important to me. I deeply understand the products and it would be harmful to my investment goals to remove access to the broad sets of products being considered as complex.
