I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities,
like leveraged and inverse funds. Public investments should be available to me, small investors, and all of the public - not just the privileged / institutional investors.
This seems like institutional / wealthier investors revenge or backlash from the Gamestop / Robinhood
Usually when an action like this happens, the powers that be ARE NOT thinking about the average investor, they are thinking how can we keep the major benefits of investing to the "Ultra Rich" and thereby avoid any "Gamestop" activity and exactly time the market for their own wealth. Do I think it is important for any security to have full disclosure? The answer is yes. But
Hey. I’m a retail investor and I beg and plead you to put a rush on dark pool buying and a more transparent stock market on short sales and naked shorts. As a retail investor I’ve poured about one hundred thousand dollars in the market and it seems we have been shorted on GameStop, chargepoint and it’s no secret of AMC. As retail investors we want to continue to put money in the market but I can
There isn’t ANY transparency within the market. Would like the same information as everyone else. Dark pools need to be monitored and used for their attended purpose of large transactions that are approved or rejected by a third party. SSR needs to be enforced much more strictly. FTDs need to be enforced without delay. Actual substantial fines for FTDs, naked short selling to discourage illegal
I don't believe that it is correct to classify products as complex due to their structure. Leveraged ETFs have their complexities, but so do many companies. Any given biotech stock may expose investors to more risk, but would be easier to access and trade. It's my belief that any investor who fails to understand the product they're buying deserves any losses they may take and that
I dont agree with adding restrictions on public investments. I like having a variety of fund vehicles that allow me to tailor different parts of my family portfolio to best align with our plans. I am planning to use some of these vehicles to hedge retirement withdrawals, so we won't be hammered by reverse-dollar-cost-averaging. New restrictions will not prevent irresponsible individuals
As a non-US citizen, watching this fiasco surrounding Gamestop unfold. My stance towards the united state's market, legal and regulatory system. Are completely changing. The past few months, millions of people have been waving red flags, voiced their opinion and recently practically been screaming to the authorities to do something about the OBVIOUS market manipulation happening almost
To Whom It May Concern:
I oppose adding undo burden on individual investors in relation to inverse and leveraged funds. Current disclosures are quite specific about the risks and intended timeframe of such investments -- almost forbiddingly so. As an individual investor, I have diverged from such guidance, but I feel sufficiently warned.
Individual investors will always make bad decisions. More
Comments: More restrictions hurt; they do not help. The market is risky, as are many things in life. It is an individuals responsibility to do due diligence before investing. Limiting investment options based on wealth, experience, or any other subjective factor is wrong. An individual, and solely that individual, should have the ability and right to make unrestricted investment decisions on
Data transparency is a must of having reliability, responsibility, and accountability within in financial industry. Without the full faith and trust in a fair system, myself and other investors would see no reason to put our hard earned money at risk to the "Wall Street Boys Club". As such, all information about short sale positions, short interest, etc. must be publicly and freely
