I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities,
like leveraged and inverse funds. Public investments should be available to me, small investors, and all of the public - not just the privileged / institutional investors.
This seems like institutional / wealthier investors revenge or backlash from the Gamestop / Robinhood debacle. Too many of these institutions / wealthy investors have been deemed "TOO BIG TO FAIL" for too many years. Some need to fail to make for a more stable market with more diverse participants.
Using leveraged and inverse funds has helped me (and likely other investors) protect and balance their portfolios. "Cooling off" periods will amount to periods when I cannot protect my portfolio. This already happens enough. No wonder everyone is moving to cryptocurrency.
