I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
People are more than capable of deciding their own level of risk. I have bought and sold weighted ETFs for over a decade. There is no reason to restrict these products.
It is extremely important that investors retain the right to hedge our portfolios when we feel appropriate. To remove this right is to seriously degrade what our available choices are, which hurts consumers. Removing choice is a worse outcome for the average consumer. Do not make things worse for investors.
Leveraged ETF's are a benefit to adding diversity and a hedge in small dollar amounts against my other much more sizeable investments in other unrelated securities.
