I'm writing to express my opposition to restrictions inhibiting my ability to invest in public investments.
I'm an informed and experienced investor. I have gaind my knowledge through study and experience in the markets. I understand leveraged and inverse funds and the though of restrictions and the possibility of having to navigate a special process (test taking) is
I am strongly opposed to any additional regulations on inverse leveraged funds. The have given me aces to hedging strategies I otherwise might not have considered.
I STRONGLY OPPOSE RESTRICTION TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST.
I SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHOOSE THE PUBLIC INVESTMENTS THAT ARE RIGHT FOR ME AND MY FAMILY. PUBLIC INVESTMENTS SHOULD BE AVAILABLE TO ALL OF THE PUBLIC, NOT JUST THE PRIVILEDGE.
As a FREE individual and proud citizen of the United States of America, I DO NOT need more regulations imposed upon me, especially with how I choose to utilize my own money. I DO NOT want to have my opportunity to invest in certain trades such as leveraged or inverse funds to be taken away an/or heavily regulated because it will only damage the "little guys" such as myseld, but
I fully understand the risks of leveraged and index funds and object to the govt overreach of requiring a test to be able to trade these funds.
Exactly what do you consider high net worth. Will they only be available to the privileged rich. This should be available to all of the public.
It is up to me not the government if I want to invest in leverage securities. I have investments in both leveraged and non-leveraged. I do not need to take a test to decide to do this. Anyone that looks at a funds daily history should easily see they are more volatile than non-leveraged. If they need a test to determine this, then they should not be handling their own investments.
I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST
Using leverage to implement a life cycle investing strategy is both prudent and effective, especially for younger investors with limited capital and a long time horizon. Please do not make it harder for Americans to invest in a variety of leveraged vehicles.
There are dar worse issues, like naked short selling that you should address and deal with first. There are no issues with leveraged etfs for experienced traders and investors. Perhaps concider requiring a minimum account balance to be able to trade leveraged etfs.
