Regarding the stocks $AMC and $GME: There must be more transparency about short positions. There should be no self reported data from any entity, there must be a third party overseer. The loop holes regarding short positions and failed to deliver shares (FTD’s) need to be closed. These positions should be made to be paid out and the idea that hedge funds can hide positions in OTM positions or
New Datamodules for Short Selling cool but it will definitly not fix the problem, that the retail is charged invisible fee's and Market Makers abusing those retail investors by pulling them to buy more shares take those fee's and letting other institutions do their dirty work by shorting the stock to keep it low and paying them liquidity with those made fee's to keep going,
I've read many of the comments and overall, I echo the same sentiment. The one thing I haven't read about is the dark pools. When I first heard of it I honestly thought it was fake. It sounded too nefarious to be real. Turns out dark pools are very real and need to be properly monitored if not banned all together. They seem to be a sort of free for all for fraudulent trading. Using AMC
There isn’t ANY transparency within the market. Would like the same information as everyone else. Dark pools need to be monitored and used for their attended purpose of large transactions that are approved or rejected by a third party. SSR needs to be enforced much more strictly. FTDs need to be enforced without delay. Actual substantial fines for FTDs, naked short selling to discourage illegal
Please explain to us why 50-70% of all retail transactions are going through the dark pools for AMC and GME every single day. As new investors we would like to understand how the blatant price manipulation, and lack of price discovery is considered legal by FINRA and other the other regulatory bodies. From what I have read this was not what the intended use of dark pools was for. I believe if
Hello, if someone is actually reading through these and actually cares I thank you. All the people want is a fair market with transparency. More and more people are losing faith in the stock market every day. Stocks like AMC are being manipulated every day in front of billions of people with nothing done. The short selling corruption with no consequences has gone long enough. These $10,000 fines
This is absurd to say what someone can and cant invest in for the everyday person. We are all capable of understanding what risks are involved as everything in the market comes with risk. I do a lot of investing and trading using leveraged funds and have not had an issue and its where a vast majority of my trading comes from. All this without any kind of test. Its insulting to take away so much
Come on Finra and SEC. I’m a UK based investor and watching what’s happening with regards the Dark Pool and Hedge Funds having an unfair advantage in the Market place is one thing, but watching what’s going on daily with regards Citadel Connect and the underhanded shorting of AMC and GME needs to be investigated. The US is meant to be the land of the free and a place where “Dreams Come True” you
Yes all these disclosures are ok and show improvement. But what we need is bigger fines and penalties for those who breaks the rules and manipulating the market, yes Hedged finds and Broker platforms such as Robinhood. You need to say it’s enough and you can’t keep doing wrong stuffs. All these little fines recently changes nothing, someone is at fault and guilty, some people deserve to go to
Data transparency is a must of having reliability, responsibility, and accountability within in financial industry. Without the full faith and trust in a fair system, myself and other investors would see no reason to put our hard earned money at risk to the "Wall Street Boys Club". As such, all information about short sale positions, short interest, etc. must be publicly and freely
