As an EDUCATED retail investor, I feel the current systems in place are a bit TOO RELAXED for retail investors/traders to access complex products. But an outright ban is also very, VERY WRONG. We may need to raise the barriers somewhat by requiring education AND a simplified form of registration (certifying they understand the risks and perhaps a small registration fee to make the point stick)
As a holder of inverse and leveraged products, I SUPPORT this measure, as ProShares and other financial services company prey on us individual, "retail" investors, and take advantage of our lack of knowledge through their own manipulation and complex wording. FINRA is on the side of the consumer, and even as a consumer who holds products that are in danger of being excluded, it is for
please, leave it as is, do not make our lives harder!! these instruments give us some kind of security when markets are falling. It's important for me to have this opportunity to invest in these instruments, it can save me a lot and make a profit and from profit I pay taxes which is good for country. So everyone wins!
I am well aware of the risks involved in trading leveraged and inverse ETFs.
PLEASE NOTE: I am staunchly OPPOSED to the US Government attempting to stifle or restrict in any way the availability of these financial products for the general public via retail trading platforms or otherwise.

I assess risk carefully and do the investment based on my risk tolerance. I should have the freedom to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family in order to achieve long-term financial security. Leveraged and
I am disappointed that these onerous regulations are being imposed upon me. I have not harmed anyone with my trading of these investments. I think it is insulting and patronizing that FINRA would impose these restrictions. I think it is unfair that my access to these investment products may be restricted. And for what reason? I've been using leveraged funds for years, and while I
Gentlemen:
It's my money, not your money.
Regulators have not, in general, performed very well and there is no reason to expect you will perform well in this area either.
I believe in freedom. This freedom includes my ability to buy and sell publicly listed securities at will. I do not need regulators telling me that I should or shouldn't invest in certain securities. I think people can make their own decisions and live with the results.
I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds
and their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on me!
