As an investor, I should be able to invest in any public security I want even if it is a mistake. It's my money and I should be able to use (or waste it) as I want whether or not it unwise. The proposal limits the ability of small-time investors and reserves it only for the highest "elite" of the investment world. There is no clear definition of "complex products" which
Leveraged investing in TQQQ provided a way for me to retire ... because my $2,250 monthly social security is WAY BELOW a half-way decent standard of living.
$30 trillion in debt... and inflation similarly growing out of control, and you want to legislate away my ability to protect myself against my irresponsible Congress...obsurd!
Hello, I am incensed you are contemplating making it nearly impossible to purchase leveraged and inverse funds. They definitely have their place and have been used successfully by millions. Please - do not cripple investor's ability to use these funds.
Thanks for taking comments; we already have enough disclosure on on leveraged + inverse products. WE like our choices. I do not need you telling me what I can or can't invest it. I't my responsibility to assume risk, not yours. Quit being the nanny state.
