I personally have 50+ years in the securities Industry as a former member of the NYSE and several Securities Licenses with FINRA. I also believe it is the individual's choice when it comes to investments. If there is a complaint of any kind due to losses, they have a right to arbitration or mediation. Is there risk involved? Absolutely!
I have been investing in these ETFs for years. They allow me to diversity and to reduce my risk as I grow older. They also allow me to simplify my investment strategy. Restricting them would greatly dimmish my ability to invest, which I would consider a denial of my freedom to act in my own best interest.
Comments: Im concerned that FINRA will attempt to strip away the ability for these products to be used effectively by active traders who use these complex products for what they were made for, short-term active trading. I understand why you would want to help those who use these for the wrong reasons, such as long-term investing, what they were not made for.

We are capable of understanding the complexities of leveraged funds and have a need to use these products on a daily basis to meet our goals. We do this with full understanding. If we were being coerced by a broker to engage in one of these funds or ETFs it might be a different issue. Please do not regulate or remove our ability to protect against losses with leveraged funds. It is much easier
