Use of short and commodity funds has been key to my investment strategy for many years. There are plenty of warnings published with all these funds, if people won't read and heed warnings, the should not be investing at all. In a free country though, they have the right to use all the tools, and that is a good thing.
Hi I grew up in the late 70s 80s and 90s. Graduated college in 2001 after a 2 year break between high school and college. I got a degree in Environmental Science. Its worthless. Hedge funds and shorts are manipulating the financial system to make revenue gains while retail investors don’t have equal opportunity to realize gains with not as much capital available to them. This creates a very toxic ecosystem within the stock market industry.
The hedge funds are not covering any of their shorts on $AMC. It’s horrible that the SEC won’t step in and make them cover. People are losing faith in the stock market and will be horrible for the economy. People won’t want to invest anymore. The SEC needs to make it right.
I believe it’s important and critical in keeping track and reporting shorting of stocks. We must have a better understanding where all the stocks in circulation is going so we know when the price of a security is manipulated or not. There are so many holes in the system
