I am neither a major nor wealthy investor. Reinvesting profits taken into more speculative ventures has enabled me to set-up modest 529's to assist in sending my grandchildren to college. I don't use any original funds or income for leveraged speculation.
Why do you feel the need to control my investment strategies?
FINRA,
As a member of FINRA, I request that you discontinue the pursuit of FINRA requiring restrictions on investing in leveraged or inverse mutual funds and/or ETFs. This should be a decision that investors make and not regulators.
Many brokerage firms already require special requirements for clients to purchase these types of securities. That is sufficient and appropriate because it is
dear regulators, leave the leveraged ivestments alone.! Go after the unscrupulous brokers who put people into unsuitable investments or churn accounts. You are apparently responding to a few cry-babies and squeaky wheels who don't understand a long-term investment. I find it interesting that you target these investments when the market is down!!!
. I, not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. I think public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged

Leveraged funds are important for young small time investors like myself to be able to have access to similar financial vehicles that large investors and institutions are able to use. Imo, there are many stocks that bare much
