I am writing to oppose the radical limitations on my investments proposed by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Under the long-standing disclosure-based system, investors have the right to decide which public equities, bonds, and funds they want to buy. The freedom to access a broad range of investment products help me build better portfolios and limit my risks in the market.
If FINRA truly think ETF like SQQQ are bad, then institution should not get those options. Otherwise regular investors always in disadvantage.
I demand to ask, who initiated this request? And what is the persons relationship with Wallstreet?
Do NOT underestimate our IQ when it comes to investment.
I support greater regulation and restrictions on retail investment in complexed investment vehicles. Whether it's FINRA, SEC or some other SRO, I think it would be helpful if retail investors were required to undergo some sort of certification or training process to verify their understanding of the risk involved with trading risky assets.
If I had to choose which instruments would
73 years of age and I still dont need a babysitter. I make between 60-80k yearly with these products. Congress needs to police themselves
Keep your hands off my investments.
there is already more than enough information for individual investors to make informed decisions. we don't need more hurdles. most people understand the risks associated with most investments. if you don't know how to swim, don't get in the water. but, if you do and drown, there's no FINRA that can save you from your own stupidity.
I strongly oppose this proposed rule. Having managed my own investments for years, I am well aware of the dangers and potential benefits of leveraged and inverse funds. They have been an important part of my investment portfolio for years. I choose to manage my own risk subject to my own investing objectives, and deeply oppose the government regulators trying to manage them for me and others
I want the freedom and the liberty to make my own decisions.
I don't need the bloated bureaucratic federal govt. to restrict my freedom of choice
It's just not right that they want to make it where you have to be of a certain group of people to be able to invest on what you want.
