Don't mess with the markets, the Fed/FOMC has already screwed things up enough
As a long time private investor, I have the right to decide on my investment strategies, not a regulator. Specifically, I recently invested in an inverse fund tailored for the current inflationary environment. I am well educated, and resent being forced to take a special test to be allowed to invest in ANY equity or debt instrument. A regulator controlled decision will damage my investment

I believe there are enough regulations concerning the purchasing of leveraged and inverse funds. There is no reason to make additional requirements for the purchase of these investment products.
I oppose having restrictions placed on leveraged ETF;s for the following reasons: 1. There are many individual securities (stocks and funds) that are more volatile than leveraged ETFs 2, Volatility is not risk and more meaningful is the trend of its moving average. e. Volatility provide investors an opportunity to achieve their objective in a shorter time period. Rather than impose restrictions

I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I am very capable of understanding leveraged and
I am neither a major nor wealthy investor. Reinvesting profits taken into more speculative ventures has enabled me to set-up modest 529's to assist in sending my grandchildren to college. I don't use any original funds or income for leveraged speculation.

As a member of FINRA, I request that you discontinue the pursuit of FINRA requiring restrictions on investing in leveraged or inverse mutual funds and/or ETFs. This should be a decision that investors make and not regulators.
Many brokerage firms already require special requirements for clients to purchase these types of securities. That is sufficient and appropriate because it is
dear regulators, leave the leveraged ivestments alone.! Go after the unscrupulous brokers who put people into unsuitable investments or churn accounts. You are apparently responding to a few cry-babies and squeaky wheels who don't understand a long-term investment. I find it interesting that you target these investments when the market is down!!!
