I use leverage to build capitol. With the exception of the January, February 2022 pivot in the market I have done very well in leveraged accounts. Perhaps a limit of 30% of your total account should be available for leverage would be a better solution for those who tend to leverage to much. Thank you for your consideration.

I am against any restriction on my ability (opportunity) to participate on an equal basis with other investors. I am an avid reader and an active investor and feel very capable of managing my own affairs. I have worked with money managers and 401K restrictions in the past and found they were limiting and unable to generate the returns I can investing myself. I see no reason to place restrictions
The leverage and reverse ETF is an important tool for retail investors to hedge market risk. While institutions have so many tools to diversify their investment risk, retail investor can only rely on limited choices to offset the market volatility. It is important to make leverage/reverse ETF available to retail investors.
Inverse ETF funds like those offered by Proshares are an important tool to help me self manage my stock portfolio. Rather than sell stocks to achieve a desired risk level, I frequently use inverse ETFs to hedge.

I oppose the proposed action by FINRA. Many investors use leveraged products as insurance or hedges to counter market volatility. The proposal is a direct confrontation on my freedom to make my own investment decisions.
