Limiting my ability to invest in leveraged instruments would be yet another exercise of a "Nanny State." It would also be a restriction of my Free Speech - just as much as restricting my ability to donate (or not) to your patron's re-election campaigns. Leveraged instruments are the key to my investment strategies and financial future. I use them to hedge my other investments.
I Dont limit investments in leveraged funds
The current policy and way of doing things is fine enough in my opinion, so a change would do little to benefit the current system. There seems to be very few reasons for such a drastic change, and I think it would be in the publics best interest to reject and decline such an advancement.
I believe that it is important to be able to exercise my rights in a free society to purchase leveraged funds. I dont have the time nor the inclination to do things like buy on margin or use derivative instruments. I like the freedom to be able to buy leveraged funds so that I can put my own money to work and to willingly risk that it may go down to zero or make me a high return. I dont need the
