For many years I've responsibly used leveraged ETFs to help achieve my financial goals. I respectfully request that you do not create a barrier to the continued use of these products.
Leveraged and inverse funds can be a useful investment tool for those that understand the risks. It should not be up to the government to decide who is capable of taking these risks and who isn't.
I OPPOSE RESTRICTIONS TO MY RIGHT TO INVEST. I have used leveraged funds during the past 5 years to acquire enhanced returns.
A person who would like to invest money they have earned should be able to invest in any way they see fit, without the need to take special tests or courses, or have additional imposed restrictions based on net worth or any other financial regulation that limits how or where they choose to invest their money.
I strongly oppose the effort of regulators to limit my ability to purchase leveraged or inverse investments. I am educated and well aware the risks of purchasing such products. As the last 5 months have dramatically proven, these types of products, like any stock, has the ability to go up or down significantly.
I understand the risks involved in investing leveraged and inverse funds and shouldnt have to go through special test to be eligible. These funds help me with my investment strategies. I oppose this restriction and would appreciate that this be not enacted.
It was brought to my attention that you would like to regulate leveraged & inverse funds. I feel this will impeach on my freedom to use and invest my funds.
The federal government has no right to dictate what investments should be made and when. Account minimums, investor accreditation and other measures that bar people with net worths lower than those deemed "acceptable" is not at all what this country was founded on.
