I have in crypto space for a little over two years, with a little instruction, anyone can invest. Regulating it like real estate is very short sighted from a taxable income source for government, and it is up to individual to exercise choice of investments and risk vs return. In addition bureacracy does not teach the valuable lessons of experience in investments like success and failure.
Please let the free markets thrive. Leveraged index funds is lesser risky than buying with credit card. For one, i buy the funds with my money paid upfront. Two, leveraged funds arent as speculative as the digital currencies popping up which have no intrinsic value. Ban crypto if you want to make a difference in peoples lives.
I oppose restrictions to my right to invest.
I understand cryptocurrency funds are new and should be regulated for an even playing field to all investors. If interested, we can find that information of crypto investment on our own. We should not be tested for a specialized investment knowledge test. Almost all other investments are available to whomever wants to invest their money without a test
As a retail investor and active participant in the free market, it is my personal choice as to whether I can invest in a speculative asset or not. Government does well to regulate markets, but should not prevent any individual from deciding how to participate. The SEC does not regulate gambling which is essentially the same thing. Dont make crypto investing unattainable for non accredited
Please do not restrict me from buying or selling any crypto currency. It is my right in a free country to make the decision on my on and you do not have that right to make them for me. How would you like for me to put restrictions on something that limits or takes away your rights. This is not what your role as a regulator. Thank you
There are multiple risk parity strategies available that are of sound investment philosophy / theory. Restricting these isn't about protecting the retail investor. There are far riskier asset classes and financial products out there ie options, crypto, etc. [REDACTED] there is even legal gambling everywhere you look. Do the right thing - keep the market free. Allow leverage ETFs for retail
These are funds of people who worked years in crypto. The diagnosis of the US [GOVx] is you are corrupt. You will never be trusted by the people and you will lose this spiritual war. Cold storage lock and I ate the seeds so good luck. My ledgers you will never find and my funds are all in an irrevocable trust. Your welcome from a fully activated reincarnated starseed.
I oppose establishment of restrictions upon individuals to make investments as described in the proposed rule, #S7-24-15. While I support providing individuals with opinions and recommendations, restrictions intrude on decisions best made by individuals who weigh risk vs reward of investments made with their money.
Specific to crypto, individuals need no more restrictions than alternate
I am capable of understanding the risks inherent to an investment product.
So is this public, this is the crypto age. It isn't like we little people do not know what risk is, and need a paternalistic guiding hand to prevent us from hurting ourselves.
This honestly looks like a bunch of rich old guys cutting the rope ladder to keep everyone else down.
"Leverage for me, but none
I have owned ProShares for many years. I added it to my retirement fund after it had been doing well in my mothers retirement fund where that holding was helpful for my mom's needs.
I find a ProShares holding (SSO) to still be good in my asset allocation.
There is no way that I have even considered any allocation in crypto funds, an area that does need research, appropriate oversight.
