I oppose restrictions on public investments to so-called "complex products" including leveraged and inverse funds. Preventing the general public from accessing these types of investments will subvert the ability of non-high-net-worth individuals from offsetting losses during periods of economic retraction as well as capitalizing during times of volatility with calculated risk-
I urge you not to interfere with how I can buy Pro shares.
I am able to handle my investments properly, and it is beyond infuriating to consider that the regulators might interfere in my own decisions. This must not happen! Individual investors must retain the ability to make their own business and personal decisions.
I do not wont to lose my rights to trade stocks etc. I do not need to take a test. This is a free country why should I be restricted to trade ?
I have come to conclude, after so many years of buying and selling securities in my retirement portfolio, that I have developed a set of guidelines borne of my research and experience that provide me with the confidence to continue trading, including in complex products. AND, each trader is different and has developed their own guidelines. Therefore, I don't have confidence that FINRA
Given the horrible performance of the stock and bond markets this year, it is incredible that the government would attempt to limit, or make more difficult, access to products that can be used to hedge positions. I oppose restrictions on my right to invest in public investments. It would be unfair to limit that ability to just the privileged. Public investments should be available to everyone. There should be no requirement to pass a test before being able to buy public funds. It is my obligation to myself to understand the risks involved in leveraged ETFs. Investing in leveraged index funds over the last
The government does not have a role to play in setting barriers for entry for market participants, especially those based upon socioeconomic status.
I am surprised, based upon the current political environment where wealthy individuals reap the majority of the centralized benefits, that regulators would elect to further punish citizens not born into wealthy families.
Individuals should be free
I believe that retail leveraged funds, accessible to the public, are important to keep alive and available without additional regulation. If we take these away, normal citizens will be at a disadvantage compared with institutional investors (who will still have access to these, even if in different ways).
I do not believe that we should impose additional tests or hurdles for public citizens to
