I am very concerned about the proposed regulations. I understand that some people do not understand these investments but I should be able to invest in the investments that are right for me. Leveraged and inverse funds are an important part of my investment strategy and can help me hedge the markets during certain periods.
I need to be the one who decides which public investments are right for me and my family. I do not want a government regulator deciding or restricting my ability to choose my investments.
The investor should have freedom to purchase whatever the product he want.
I'm both a financial advisor and an investor, i find the the leveraged etf's are necessary to mitigating long term risk. by themselves they are a problem. but when used corrrectly they help lower volatility of the overall market, and individual investor portfolios, especially since there is no other way to easily hedge the down side in retirement accounts.
