I think if it's our money we should be able to invest it anyway we want to. Just like any other investment in stocks there's always a risk but that is our choice to do so.

The FINRA is overstepping its authority by not allowing the average/retail investor to make their own decisions and take their own risks. Investing is risk taking by nature and its not fair for the average investor to be forced into buying only one type of investment (i.e. Long).
I and not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for you and your family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
