Please do not disallow us from buying the inverse and leveraged funds. If you do so, more people will turn to futures and could lose even more. Sometimes I only buy a share or two of an inverse fund. Its safer than doing fx or futures.
Leveraged and inverse funds are part of my investment strategies in my portfolios. They are useful to hedge against existing positions. Individual investors should be able to get access to these public funds as institutional investors do.
Please do not restrict my freedom to invest in products that I see as integral to my financial future. I use leveraged products to supplement my investing strategy.

FINRA will not tell savings banks to pay truly worthwhile interest on personal money they hold for depositors fairly considering the fees and interest rates they charge.
Complex financial instruments must continue to allow people to profit on market conditions of any variety.
