I don't think that regulators should be allowed to override my investment decisions. I use leveraged bonds in some of my mutual funds.
On behalf of our family and relatives we would like to state that leveraged and inverse funds are very important part of our investment portfolio. In particular we use leveraged inverse funds as Hedge against long positions in hi-tech Nasdaq stocks. By prohibiting or overly regulating Leveraged Inverse funds, or creating other barriers, you as regulator will take away our ability to protect our
At the ripe old age of 53 and over 20 years of public investing, it is awfully paternalistic of a USA regulatory body such as FINRA to now strip away my right to certain important investment strategies and securities such as leveraged and inverse funds. Are only the big fish and/or insiders on Wall Street and government officials allowed to hedge/enhance their portfolio with such vehicles??? Are
I have been investing for a number of years and feel i am the one that should make these decisions. When you take these types of things away you are interfering with the free market and it never runs the same. Over the years i have noticed that your regulations make things more difficult and just end up costing the investor more headache and money.
To Whom It May Concern: I am an accredited investor and I know what I am buying for. Leveraged funds should be easily accessible to the public. These leveraged funds are normally 2X or 3X the regular funds. If FINRA were to block leveraged funds, they should tackle blocking currency trading first. The leverage used in trading currencies are as high as 200X! Thank you for your consideration.
I understand the risk of leveraged ETF/products and use them carefully. They help me get bigger returns with less capital. I should be able to choose what I invest in without having to pass tests.
Please do not limit retail investors' ability to choose their own fund allocations, no matter the "complexity." I urge you to reconsider these restrictions. Most investors, including myself, understand the products we're investing in. Please do not let a small minority of gamblers change the way the rest of us can invest.
It is not your responsibility to decide who is intelligent enough to handle their own finances. Most people who invest in these products are fully aware of the risks and rewards. They are not that complicated. I have used them rather successfully for years. I see this as just another example of government overreach, with attempts to control and limit our individual freedom of choice. Enough is
Hi, I oppose the restrictions on my right to invest leveraged and inverse funds. I totally understand the risks of these investments and think its a good way to hedge my account especially in such vibrating market. If nobody can guarantee I make profit from normal fund product, why prevent me from protecting my account from the way I like. I like the leveraged funds. The market should give
I oppose restrictions to my right to invest! Leveraged and inverse funds are not complex and the average investor is capable of understanding them with ease. They should be available for everyone and not have a privileged gatekeeper guarding funds for our "benefit". They are a very useful hedge for myself and many people I know personally. I truly hope this never comes to pass
