I shouldn't have to go through any special process
like passing a test before I can invest in public securities,
like leveraged and inverse funds. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need these measures imposed on you. You do not need to protect me from myself. Go do something useful and so not waste tax dollars chasing wild dreams
I Should be the One Who decides which investments are Right for My Family and I , Not Some Regulator that does Not Even Know Who I am. Investments Should be Available to All of the Regular People in the Country , Not just the Richest People Which is a very Small Percentage of Us. Myself, not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for myself and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. While people will make mistakes, that is on them. People can flush money down the toilet in many different ways so stopping them from investing just limits their ability to make a huge upside as well
Please stop these lowest common denominator type rules. They ruin the ecosystem and don't provide the intended relief and benefit.
Leveraged index funds are similar to buying individual stock in terms of risk. If leveraged index funds are taken away, then investing in individual stocks should be as well. Members of the public do not have to go through any special procedures to buy publicly traded stock, nor should they have to for leveraged index funds.
