I oppose any restrictions on my right to invest in public investments. I do not agree that any special process like passing a test to be able to invest in public securities and inverse leveraged funds. I am a individual self-directed investor. I rely on leveraged and inverse ETFs from time to time. Please do not make this more difficult. The investing public need such funds to limit risk.
We should be able to invest in the public investments that are right for us -- not have the government decide for us. We should not have to go through special processes or pass a test. I know the risks of these types of funds and use these only as part of my overall portfolio.
I have invested in plenty of your so-called complex instruments with a small account and have yet to blow any of them up. Infact I regularly use them as a way to hedge and short markets instead of taking the risk of actually shorting and being open to a theoretical infinite loss.
We dont need more regulation over our own money. We know and take the risks.
