Limiting the accessibility of complex financial products to retail investors under the guise of protecting them is disingenuous. Nobody cares more about my money than me and before I throw my capital at something I make sure to understand it. I assume most serious investors are equally rational. This attempt to restrict retail investors appears to be an attempt to protect institutional investors
Please no more unnecessary regulations. Investors have enough cumbersome paperwork as it is!!
Government regulators should not be allowed to dictate how private citizens invest their own money.
I am fully capable of determining my own level of risk with investing and frankly find it insulting that the government would presume to limit my choices.
Instead of telling members of the public what they can do with their own money, perhaps spend more time reviewing what elected officials do with their money when combined with private information.
I would like to to continue to be able to buy leveraged etfs and it's the right choice for me. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged or a select few.
Hi,
I oppose limitations on my investments.
I know very well about my investments and am going to hold it for years. So, the recent drops (or any potential fluctuations) will not impact mucj on my investment portfolio.
Thank you,
Each investment carries its own set of risks. The basis of the free market is the principle that investors must bare the consequences of their investments whether the results are beneficial or detrimental. Providing information of risks is a beneficial service, but trading restrictions could harm smart investors with limited resources.
Leveraged and inverse funds are relatively high risk to investors, but most investors are capable of understanding the risks and invest the funds properly.
For equality, people who are affordable to take the risks should be allowed to trade these funds. Therefore, the entry barrier of leveraged and inverse funds should not be too high, say $50,000.
