The restrictions that SEC is trying to impose is going to hinder the ability of common man to be able to use the money the way they want and goes against Capitalism. These restrictions will widen the gap between the rich and the poor. Hope that SEC doesnt proceed with these legislation.

I have a private individual broker for my investments because I wanted control over what my money is invested in, stop regulating and controlling free Americans. I think most people are likely to understand risk that are intelligent enough to have an ID that is required to open an account.

Further, limiting these securities to only institutional, high net worth, or "accredited investors" put retail investors at a disadvantage as some of these inverse/leverage funds provide hedging exposure that retail needs to hedge their portfolios.
