Leveraged ETFs are not always more risky or complex than an individual company stock. Some companies have very complex operations or products that are harder to understand than a 2x ETF. The proposals exceed the authority of SEC as watchdog and while perhaps intending to protect the rights of investors against risks of loss, or their own capacity or qualifications to invest actually result in immunizing the sellers from liability. The proper way to go would be notice and warnings as assumptions of risks.
I disagree with regultions that limit my right to chose My Investments under the claim of protection. I feel this is false narrative and wish to excercise my will.
Comments: Please do not limit investors' ability to trade "complex products" including leveraged and inverse funds. These products are not confusing. If you want to make sure investors are aware of what they are investing in then have them read a waiver in advance. Otherwise, there should be no restriction on what a private investor should be able to invest in in this manner.
Regulators should not choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. I should not have to go through any special process to invest in public securities. I understand the risk associated with alternative investments and should have the right to do as I choose with my own capital.
