In general, there needs to be more real time transparent data. Retail investors are not playing on an equal playing field in a supposed free market. With market manipulation obviously taking place with stocks such as $GME and $AMC, things need to change and companies need to be held more accountable. Measly fines or just looking the other way is just an insult to what our market, economy, and
Over the past several month I have noticed suspicious short activity daily when watching AMC and GMC stock tickets. Daily the inflow is greater than the outflow but the price drops. It’s obvious market manipulation using synthetic shares via dark pools. Please look into this matter and make hedge funds have more transparency when reporting short positions.
Every single share should only exist once, we have the technology to do that. But until that happens I want to see a record of all shares, bought and sold, and for what price, at the end of the day. Period. No matter if they happened traded in a dark pool or your your mom's basement using an app to transfer ownership. I WANT TO KNOW THIS INFO, BECAUSE THATS WHAT THE STOCK MARKET IS SUPPOSED
SSR does nothing but give the illusion of short restrictions, most shorting is coming from computers that manipulate the only on an up stick rule . I’ve watched multiple stocks get manipulated and shorted while on SSR . SSR is considered a joke by most small traders . It doesn’t work 90 % of the time if at all. Shorts still short all day everyday , even during SSR .
I want in depth reports on short positions for any and every stock on the market. I also want reports on how many of those short positions are on loan as well as the strike numbers for each individual option. Secondly, short sellers (mainly institutions) should absolutely not be able to hold MASSIVE uncovered short options. They should be required to have covered puts before placing any puts.
Hello! I would love to have more transparency when it comes to data reporting for stocks. It is hard to make informed decisions with the T+2 settlement dates for short interest, and certain numbers don't update for other a month. Would also like to see more done about naked shorting and synthetic shares so retail investors have the whole picture when investing their money.
