You shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before you can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. We are perfectly capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. Don't limit our free options.
Investments have many safeguards to prevent individuals from investing in products they don't understand. These range from a formal prospectus all the way to a (highly) informal google search (which will readily enumerate the risks involved in investing in leveraged ETFs. Please do not take away tools from small, individual investors. There are too many ways the big guys have to beat small investors with their unfair rules. The markets are rigged to their advantage. I NEED to use inverse and leveraged funds to avoid financial disaster in my retirement account.
