Comments: i understand that leveraged products are for short term trading and have increased volatility. If used correctly within a portfolio they can actually reduce risk. Limiting access to these products would damage my ability to create a well doversified portfolio
I have used leverage index mutual funds and ETF's as part of my investing methodology for the past 15 years. I understand the downside as well as the upside potential. Making these funds unavailable or difficult to purchase would severely limit my investing success.
I strongly oppose restrictions on my trading accounts. Why would you do this? I have been trading these vehicles for years. You may well be opening yourselves up to class action lawsuits. You would be interfering with peoples ability to earn a living.
I understand that government is trying to protect public from getting into ruinous investments, however currently existing mechanisms for risk management between brokers and investors are working well. I don't think that the regulators should limit what public investments I am making.
I do not support regulating areas of investment where I choose to learn, invest and grow my assets. I am an adult and perfectly capable of making my OWN decisions for my financial well being. Please stay in your lane and stop this overreach.
Please allow me to continue make my own decisions regarding investing
I do my own research and have done well doing so.
If I dont understand the risks of certain types of investing, I dont do them. Thank you.
Please do not restrict or limit our ability to invest in leveraged and inverse funds and dozens of other popular
investments deemed to be complex. No testing or other special process should be required as well. Public investments should be available to the public.
Respectfully
T. Hess
Hi,
Leveraged funds are an important part of my portfolio. I strongly disagree with any regulation that makes investment in these funds difficult or prevented.
I would like to see regulators focus on criminal activity instead of pointless regulation of well understood leveraged funds.
Stop regulating which investment vehicles are available to the public. Freedom means you have the right to succeed as well as to make mistakes. By takin away investment options in the name of protecting the public you are relegating all of us to mediocrity. Stop this now!!!!!!
This well intended proposed regulation will force small investors into trading futures contracts in able to hedge or short the market, creating even more risk for the average investor.
Stop this silliness now. This proposed regulation does more harm than good.
