Proposed Rule Change Relating to Options Exercise Procedures
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”) is filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC” or “Commission”) a proposed rule change to amend FINRA Rule 2360(b)(23) regarding procedures for expiring standardized equity options to harmonize its rules with the rules of The Options Clearing Corporation (“OCC”) and the options exchanges regarding the change to the expiration date for most standardized option contracts to the third Friday of the expiration month instead of the Saturday following the third Friday.
