Proposed Rule Change to NASD Rule 1013 to Change the Manner in Which Applicants Apply for Membership
Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (“FINRA”) (f/k/a National Association of Securities Dealers, Inc. (“NASD”)) is filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC” or “Commission”) a proposed rule change to NASD Rule 1013 (New Member Application and Interview) to amend the manner in which membership applicants submit their applications to FINRA. FINRA also is proposing changes to online Form NMA to make it a more interactive, user-friendly document that applicants can use to submit application information.
