I as the investor I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privilege few.
As an investor, I should not have to go through any special process such as passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I hold a masters degree in finance; I know and understand the risk in investing in publicly traded securities including leveraged and inverse funds and their risks. I do not need these burdensome and restrictive measures imposed on my investing availability.
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies. They help hedge my investments and returns, by using them as limited part of my overall investment portfolio.
I have been investing and hold leveraged funds in my portfolio for several years; I recognize and understand their risks. As an investor, I have a full grasp and understanding of potential losses to me when investing in highly leveraged funds just like any other public investments.
