I am writing to express my opposition to regulations being considered by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), that may prevent me from being able to buy leveraged and inverse funds and other popular investments that may be deemed to be too complex for the average investor. I, as an individual, should have the ability to choose what investments are right for me. Public investments should be available to all of the investing public not just the privileged few. In addition, I should not have to pass some test to be able to invest in these public securities. The vast majority of investors who would invest in these securities are more than capable of understanding how they work and the risks involved. I have been an investor in leveraged and inverse funds since their inception and am more than capable of understanding and managing my own risk.
