It is imperative that America maintains a free and open market for investments of all types. Regulations are to insure fairness in the market, not a strangle hold on freedom of choice. It is important for FINRA to publish articles and guidance to those people interested in investing in certain public securities. Education is the fundamental job of government outlining the risks and rewards of certain investment choices. Putting hurdles in the free market under the guise of protecting people from themselves is not the way to go. Also, today government may want to regulate one vehicle, and, then another and the process will not stop at just one investment with restrictions.
