I strongly oppose restrictions to my right to invest in any public investment, especially the leveraged index funds, that are particularly right and most suitable for me.
I am a retired Ph.D. Physicist who are good in math and has accumulated more than 40 years of experience in managing my own funds.
Among all available ETF funds which I have mostly invested in, I have found the 3x leveraged ETF funds like TQQQ, SPXL, and UDOW, are the most suitable and best investment vehicles for me because it allows me to use only a fraction (typically 1/3) of my funds to generate the same or better returns in a market-up year as the market index funds, and risk no more than 1/3 of my funds even in a total market crash year (dropping like 100%, which is unlikely anyway). Its a simple math and any person with a high school or higher education degrees should understand the benefits and risk of these leveraged index funds. We dont need any special regulations or restrictions imposed on me or us!
Indeed, for the last few years, I have achieved, on average, better than the market index returns with only a fraction (around 1/3) of my funds invested (hence, risked). I can therefore use the other roughly 2/3 of my finds (which are not subject to market up and down risk) to meet my family monetary needs, including any emergency needs, without having to withdraw from the investment funds, especially during the market down times to suffer a real unrecoverable loss!
In conclusion, I strongly oppose any regulations and restrictions imposed on me or anyone to invest in any public ETFs (including x3 leveraged ETFs) with at least a high school or higher degree who understands basic algebra or common mathematics. As a matter of facts, I find the leveraged ETF funds are the most suitable and best market investment funds so far for me from risk and return viewpoint!
