I do not agree with proposed restrictions on leveraged or inverse funds for individual investors. There is not reason to think that average investors can not use these funds responsibly. I use leveraged funds in modest amounts in my portfolio to take advantage of certain bull market conditions. I have been using these products satisfactorily for several years. I also have on some rare occasions used inverse products. Please do not limit us ordinary investors from using these useful products. Individual equities can be and frequently are much more volatile than leveraged index products so the leveraged products do not need to be singled out for special restrictions.
