I am more than a little tired of smug government bureaucrats telling me what I can and can not do “for my own good”. The proposed regulations are arbitrary, capricious, and imperious. That some people lost money by purchasing certain investment products is unfortunate to be sure, but as with all things in life, the saying caveat emptor is applicable. Do not punish those of us who have done our due diligence with these repressive measures.
