To whom it may concern,
I am very surprised to hear FINRA is considering restricting investors ability to trade leveraged and inverse funds.
I believe an American investor should have the right to choose how they wish to invest their money. It is helpful that brokerage firms provide information explaining the details and/or risks associated. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and the risks associated, and therefore believe it would be unfair to individual investors to impose restrictions that many investors would be unable to meet.
Additionally, putting restrictions in place would limit my ability to hedge my investments. Using this type of investment provides an opportunity for enhanced returns on my overall portfolio.
Providing individual investors with education tools(without required testing) or addition information should definitely be strongly considered, before imposing restrictions on my right to invest.
I greatly appreciate your consideration, and appreciate your efforts to protect investors.
