Regarding FINRA's attempt to make it more difficult to invest in leveraged and inverse funds and strategies. I object to your attempt to limit my rights to invest in the investments I choose. I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me. It is not FINRA's right to do so.
I do not believe that I should need to pass a test that FINRA designs to prove my right to invest in what I choose.
Additionally, I believe that most individuals choosing to invest in leveraged and inverse funds have a very good idea of the riske and why they are doing so. As for me, very few things in the market place are for certain. However, if we take a look right now, it seems likely that interest rates will continue to rise for some time. Based on the assumption, I choose to invest in an inverse treasury fund. Why should FINRA have the right to make that difficult for me. Also, I use leveraged funds for part of my invewtment portfolio. Leveraged funds go a long way in providing opportunities so that I may use other funds for safer strategies.
Stating it simply, I think FINRA should butt out of individuals' and specifically my, rights to choose how to invest.
