Mohammad Tahir Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Dear FINRA,

I feel that there is already too much regulation with respect to what FINRA considers complex investments. In fact, these products allow investors to protect and hedge their investments in market downturns. Moreover, these products allow investors to learn about markets in the least expensive way. For example, the inverted and/or leveraged ETFs cost less and are way more preferred for investors in comparison to options and futures. Everyone in the trading community would agree that its better lose less with these ETFs than potentially declare bankruptcy with options and futures.

As an immigrant from Afghanistan and proud US Citizen, I firmly believe that the USA is a great country for many reasons. In the United States we have a choice to invest as we please. Furthermore, our financial markets offer the most products which even attracts foreign investment.

The proposed actions of FINRA would lower an investor's ability to choose and invest. In a country born on the idea of freedom, the proposed actions of FINRA would run contrary to that idea.
