I should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
I should not have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities including cryptocurrency funds such as BITO. I am capable of understanding cryptocurrency funds such as BITO and their risks. I refuse to have these measures imposed on me by regulators such as FINRA or SEC or Department of Labor or anyone else.
How is it fair that only very rich and privileged are given access to cryptocurrency funds such as BITO to diversity its portfolio? Although my portfolio is modest in size, I also do have a concern over inflation and making sure my portfolio includes assets such as BITO to be able to participate in new category of assets. Is FINRA basically saying although I am capable of understanding the market and crypto assets such as BITO as a capable tax and corporate attorney, I am not rich enough to invest in it?
The proposed restriction will hurt the small individual investors at the end, not help.
