I have been having freedom on my own investments for a decade, and want to maintain my current freedom to invest in public securities of my choosing. As an American citizen, I/anyone should be able to choose the public investments that are right for us! I am grateful that the freedom of the exchange-traded funds that empower me and my family to pursue our financial objectives.
Itll be so limited, unpleasant, inconvenient and unfair that I have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I have experienced doing my own free trading/investments since 1996, and I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks since those are my own money, which I would not risk them at all. I do not need these measures from FINRA imposed on me!!
Leveraged and inverse funds are important to my investment strategies. I am happy that I use leverage and inverse funds for decade, they help me protect my investments and I am seeking for more enhanced returns; and they are part of my overall portfolio.
I am so surprised and NOT happy to hear FINRA has a radical and unprecedented threat by regulators to prevent or restrict investors right to buy the leveraged and inverse funds, like UltraPro and UltraPro Short exchange-traded funds, as well as many other types of popular investments. Please DO NOT limit the investors ability to freely invest of their own and NOT put us at risk! Thank you.
