Marc Gitlitz Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Marc Gitlitz
N/A

I as an educated investor want to make decisions on what I invest in. Public investments should be available to me and all the public not just the privileged.

I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities. I understand quite well what I am investing in when I purchase a leveraged or inverse fund. I understand the risk. I don't want the regulators imposing measures on me.

Leveraged and inverse funds are extremely important to me. Right now I am using some inverse funds to protect my portfolio and actually help me reduce the risk of my portfolio. Without my use of those funds my portfolio would incur more risk not less.

If regulators restrict my ability to use these investment vehicles my portfolio would incur more risk. I do not want regulators restricting my ability to manage my own portfolio and set the risk tolerance that only I should be able to do.

I WOULD EXPRESSLY PROHIBIT REGULATORS TO RESTRICT MY ABILITY TO MANAGE MY OWN PORTLOLIO.
LEVERAGED AND INVERSE FUNDS ARE IMPORTANT INVESTMENTS FOR ME IN HELPING REDUCE RISK ON MY PORTFOLIO. DO NOT REGULATE THIS AREA.
