I believe in democratizing investing and having the freedom to choose any one or more of several asset classes of investments that I want because I believe in individual freedom of choice of investments since that is true democracy and capitalism.
We do not need central planning by the government because this is not Russia or China. This is the United States of America.
I use inverse, leveraged etfs to hedge my portfolio in a down market 3 to 1 to prevent selling down my portfolio to reduce risk and creating a taxable event. It's called investment tax management.
Therefore, I oppose your limitations on my investments. I want to maintain my current freedom to invest in public securities of my own choosing.
Finally, the last that I checked, I was still in the United States of America, and not Russia and China. We do not engage in central planning as a government, but a democratic form of government that is elected by the people with representatives that vote according to the majority view.
In order words, our representatives represent the majority of the people's views and wishes.
