Dear Regulators and to whom it may concern.
Owning and managing leveraged funds like pro shares ETFs since 2007, I understand how they work and react with market trends and am fully aware of any risks, as it is explicitly explained with no discretion from those companies and by the nature of those types of ETFs. I should be able to chose if I buy them or sell them as a regular investor, with no special prerequisites. These are public investments, and I should, just like any investor, have the right to purchase them. It would be unfair to ,are them only available to the privileged.
The process of purchasing them should be just like any stock, without any special approvals, rights or privileges. I, like everyone, am capable of understanding the risks involved, and make my own decisions as a part of a free market. If I do not want to hold or purchase them, that should be my choice. These regulations should not be imposed on me or any other investors of these funds.
These types of investments are critical in having a well balanced and diverse portfolio. They help in hedging against downturns in the market for the individual investor through my research and understanding of what funds to purchase and when. If any investor feels strongly about holding or selling a certain fund based on their outlook, investors like me should be able to make that choice and benefit from that understanding. No one is forced to buy or sell them and that should remain the same. My family needs these funds for our financial and investing security. Please reconsider any regulations and restrictions put in these funds as it would not be fair to remove them as an option for me and others. We know what is involved and restricting them is not a solution. If there is an issue, a solution would be to educate rather than restrict. Please take this advise as a more pertinent path forward. Thank you for your time and consideration.
