It has come to my attention that restrictions are being considered that would impose restrictions on the types of investors that can invest in leveraged and inverse funds.
I find the fact that this is even being considered to be deeply hypocritical considering the fact that many individual stocks (nevermind cryptocurrency) have similar or even more aggressive risk profiles than these funds.
Making it more difficult for people to protect their portfolios makes no sense. I understand the argument that investors should be protected, however there are thousands of ways to lose money in the markets besides inverse or leveraged funds. This cure would be worse than the "disease."
