Please reject this proposal to hamper the ability for individuals to freely invest in the market based on their own decisions about risk and reward. No investor has asked for guardrails to be put up around these products. In fact, it only seeks to further limit the free market instead of truly protect people. Requiring a certain net worth or level of investment to qualify for purchase of an investment vehicle no more qualifies an individual to greater financial sophistication or knowledge nor protects them from ill advised investment decisions than someone of lesser financial means. It is hierarchical snobbery by the well-heeled to further suppress the working class and deny them the same opportunities of those with so-called specialized investment knowledge or high net worth. I urge you to reject this assault to my intelligence, station in life, and freedom.
